Directions (from label): Empty rice and lentils into pan. Sort and wash. Combine 6 cups of water with the seasoning packet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 45 minutes. (Optional: Add a finely shredded carrot and cook for 15 more minutes.) Add salt to taste. OR add 6 cups water to a crockpot, pour in the soup mix packets, cook overnight or about 6 hours till soft and flavorful. Voila! (Yields 4-6 servings)
