Creamy White Gravy Foil Packet

Finally, no mistake fat free white gravy that is easy and fast to prepare from no-measure packets. Always tasty.

Open foil packet, add three cups of liquid (milk,water or both) and mix. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. If you want thinner gravy, just add more milk or water till you have the consistency you desire.

This individual serving packet makes 2 cups of thick gravy or 3 cups of medium gravy. Just add water, whip then boil. White gravy can be used in soups as a base, on casseroles, over toast with crumbled vegetarian meat substitutes.


Ingredients: Unbleached wheat flour, dehydrated potato, cane juice, sea salt, dehydrated garlic and onion, herbs, dehydrated lemon peel, spice extract.

Cream of Broccoli Soup

1 1/2 lbs. broccoli, cleaned and trimmed
2 cups water
1-2 stalks of celery diced
1 small onion diced.
1 cup Creamy White Sauce Gravy Mix
2 cups water
2 cups soymilk, unsweetened
3 T. La Chikky Seasoning
2 T. margarine or olive oil
All Purpose Veggie Salt and Pepper-Like to taste

Bring 2 cups of water to boil and add the broccoli, onion, and celery and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Use a hand blender or a potato masher to mash this all up--or carefully pour into a blender and blend. In another saucepan, melt margarine or oil, stir in Creamy White Sauce Gravy Mix and stir. Add water and soymilk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in more milk if you feel sauce is too thick for soup. Stir in the broccoli mixture. Add All Purpose Veggie Salt and Pepper-Like until seasoned to your preference.

Makes 4 servings.

Scalloped Potatoes

2 recipes of Creamy White Sauce Gravy
1/2 t. Pepper-Llike
3 T. Parma Zaan
6 large potatoes (about 4 cups after sliced)
1 c. milk
1/2 c. onion, chopped.

Boil potatoes till cooked. Peel and slice thinly. Place them in a 1 1 /2 quart casserole dish sprayed with vegetable oil. Saute onion in 1 T. water and 1 t. oil till translucent. Sprinkle the onion over the potatoes. Prepare gravy packets according to the package. Add Pepper-Like Seasoning and milk when gravy is done. (Optional- may add 2 T. olive oil to gravy). Pour gravy over the potatoes and onions. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 Degrees for 30 minutes.

Remove the dish from the oven, and remove the foil. Sprinkle with Parma Zaan.

Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes longer.
